The man with the self-described million-dollar leg has been signed by the Mavericks.
The team announced that guard Taze Moore has been signed after playing last season with the Mavericks’ G League affiliate, the Texas Legends.
Moore is a product of the University of Houston, where he played as a senior after starting his collegiate career at California State-Bakersfield.
Moore suffered a catastrophic right leg injury that included two shattered bones. His basketball future was in doubt after the injury that sidelined him for nearly two years.
It required five surgeries, some to fix things that went wrong in the earlier procedures, leading Moore to claim ownership to “my million-dollar leg.”
Moore brings the Mavericks’ roster to 18 players.
