A.J. Lawson, Olivier-Maxence Prosper and rookie Melvin Ajinca will lead the Dallas Mavericks into the NBA 2K25 Summer League. The full roster was releasedLawson Wednesday.

Lawson initially joined the Mavs in time to play on their 2022 summer league team, and averaged 15.6 points, six rebounds and shot 51.9 percent from the field. The Mavs eventually signed him to a two-way contract later that year, and it was ultimately converted to a standard contract on March 4.

In 42 games for the Mavs last season, Lawson averaged 3.2 points in 7.4 minutes and shot 44.6 percent from the field.

Prosper, meanwhile, is attempting to get back on track after battling injuries for a portion of his rookie season. The 24th overall pick of last summer’s NBA Draft, Prosper averaged three points in 8.4 minutes and shot 38.5 percent from the floor while playing 40 games as a rookie.

Also, the Mavs will get to see Ajinca, who they acquired in a draft-day trade last week with the New York Knicks. In addition, the Mavs will start summer league practice on Monday and will play their first summer league game in Las Vegas on July 13 at 9:30 p.m. Dallas time against the Utah Jazz. Each team will be guaranteed to play at least five games.

MAVERICKS ANNOUNCE ROSTER FOR NBA 2K25 SUMMER LEAGUE 2024

DALLAS — Today, the Dallas Mavericks announced their NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024 roster. The Mavericks’ summer league team features Olivier-Maxence Prosper, the 24th overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, who saw action in 43 of the Mavericks’ regular and postseason games last season, and AJ Lawson, a former Mavericks Two-Way player who O-maxearned a standard contract in 2023-24. Two of the Mavericks’ Two-Way players from last year, Brandon Williams and Alex Fudge, also highlight the squad, along with Melvin Ajinca, the 51st-overall selection in the 2024 NBA Draft who Dallas acquired in a draft-night trade with the Knicks. Mavericks assistant coach Jared Dudley will serve as the head coach of the club’s summer league squad. Dudley transitioned to an assistant coaching role with the Mavericks ahead of the 2021-22 season, directly following a 14- season NBA career with stops in Charlotte, Phoenix, the L.A. Clippers, Milwaukee, Washington, Brooklyn and the L.A. Lakers. Dudley was selected with the 22nd pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by Charlotte, and he spent the last two seasons of his playing career with the Lakers where he was a part of the team that won the 2020 NBA title. The team will practice in Dallas July 8-10 ahead of the departure to Las Vegas, and media availabilities will be announced at a later date. This will be the Mavericks’ 18th summer in Las Vegas, and the team will tip off the competition against the Utah Jazz on Saturday, July 13, at 9:30 p.m. CT on NBA TV. Following the opener against the Jazz, Dallas will face Memphis (July 15), Miami (July 17) and Boston (July 19) before the date, time and opponent of the fifth game is determined. NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024 features all 30 NBA teams and will take place July 12-22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. All games will air live on ESPN platforms, and every game will also be available to stream on the ESPN App. Each team will play at least five games, and after each team’s first four games, the top four teams will advance to participate in the playoffs, beginning with a semifinal doubleheader on Sunday, July 21. The two winning teams from the semifinal games will meet in the championship game on Monday, July 22. The four playoff teams will be determined by winning percentage in each team’s first four games, with tiebreak criteria available here. The 26 teams that do not advance to the four-team playoff will play a fifth game on either Saturday, July 20 or Sunday, July 21.
