The Dallas Mavericks announced today they have reached a multi-year local TV rights extension with FOX Sports Southwest. Terms were not disclosed.

“FOX sports has been an amazing partner for the Mavs and our fans,” said Mavericks proprietor Mark Cuban. “We are excited to do a long term deal that will allow Mavs fans to stream our games as well as watch on television.”

FOX Sports Southwest is scheduled to broadcast 81 of the Mavericks 82 games this season and has been a local television partner since 1996. The Mavericks first appeared on Home Sports Entertainment during the 1983-84 season which eventually became FOX Sports.

Mark Followill returns for his 15th season with the Mavericks and 11th season as television play-by-play announcer for all telecasts. Former Maverick great Derek Harper is back for his fifth full season on the telecast as the team’s color commentator, while Jeff “Skin” Wade enters his seventh season as the courtside analyst.

FOX Sports Southwest tips off the 2015-16 season tonight in Phoenix at 9 p.m. CT. All 81 games they feature can be seen in high definition on FSSW-HD.

“We are happy to continue our relationship with the Dallas Mavericks and we look forward to providing Mavs fans with the most complete coverage of their home team for many years to come,” said FOX Sports Southwest Senior Vice President and General Manager Jon Heidtke. “We launched our network with the Mavericks and we look forward to continuing this great partnership.”
