DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced their roster and schedule for MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2019 today, which will tip-off on Friday, July 5 in Las Vegas.
The 11-day, 83-game event will feature all 30 NBA teams, along with the Chinese and Croatian National Teams. See their full schedule here.
Dallas’ summer league roster features Isaiah Roby, the 45th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Nebraska. The roster also includes Daryl Macon and Kostas Antetokounmpo, who were both two-way players for the Mavericks in 2018-19.
The Mavericks will open their four-game preliminary round against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, July 5 at 6 p.m. CT. Dallas will then face division-rival Houston on Saturday, July 6 at 8 p.m. CT and Sacramento on Monday, July 8 at 2:30 p.m. CT, before wrapping up the prelims with a matchup with Croatia on Wednesday, July 10 at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Following the preliminary round, the top eight teams will be seeded in a tournament, which culminates with the Championship Game on Monday, July 15 at 8 p.m. CT. Teams that do not qualify for the tournament will each play a consolation game. Every team will play at least five games and as many as seven.
All games will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV. NBA TV will carry the Mavericks’ showdowns with the Nets, Rockets and Kings, while ESPNU will broadcast Dallas’ matchup with Croatia.
The Mavericks will be spending their 14th summer in Las Vegas. Mavericks assistant coach Mike Weinar will serve as the head coach of the team’s Las Vegas summer league squad for the first time. Weinar led the Mavericks to a perfect 5-0 record and the Orlando Pro League championship in 2017 while serving as the head coach of that club.
Before the team makes the trip to Las Vegas, a mini camp will be held at the Mavericks’ practice facility in Dallas from July 1-4.
