Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki joined ESPN’s Marc Stein on the TrueHoop Conversations Podcast to talk about reaching 30,000 career points and delve deeper into numerous aspects of his career.
“It’s still sort of surreal,” he tells Stein about approaching 30K. “It’s been such a long ride. When you struggle like I did at the beginning my first years, and there’s doubt’s creeping in — are you gonna make it? Are you gonna make it in this league? Are you good enough? — and then 19 years later you’re only the sixth guy to ever do something, that’s incredible. It’s still surreal to me at times.”
