DALLAS- As part of the NBA FIT initiative, the Dallas Mavericks are launching MAVS FIT, presented by Albertsons. The focus of MAVS FIT is to encourage youth to make healthy living a priority at a young age through nutritious eating and regular exercise.

This January, the Mavericks are partnering with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dallas for a four week MAVS FIT Challenge presented by Albertsons. Children from 11 different Boys and Girls Club branches around Dallas will learn how to make healthy decisions and track their eating and exercise habits through a point system. Students will win prizes based on their level of participation, and the Boys and Girls Club branch with the highest overall point total will win a donation of brand new sporting goods equipment and a Mavs pep rally.
