The HUDDLE is a courageous conversation series that creates a safe space for dialogue and the opportunity for individuals to learn and unite with a diverse group of current and former Dallas Mavericks players, team representatives and community figures with the goal of eliminating racial divides, uplifting communities and empowering future generations.
The Dallas Mavericks celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop by hosting a roundtable discussion that honors the journey and legacy of Hip Hop while recognizing the influence music has on culture, sports, media, and fashion. Learn about the influence Dallas artists had within the national and international Hip Hop community through personal stories from influential Dallas-based artists The D.O.C, Bobby Sessions, Dorrough, and Ivy Awino.
With a mission in mind, at 89 years old Dr. Opal Lee decided to take the first step to demand change by vowing to walk 1,400 miles from Fort Worth, Texas to Washington, D.C. to request that Juneteenth be recognized as a national holiday. Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall had the honor of sitting down with Dr. Opal Lee to hear about what inspired her to make a difference.
Mavs Take ACTION! hosted an in-person discussion with community leaders, focused on providing food justice in our community. Following the discussion, we united with members of the community to pack and distribute food recovery bags and help in planting a new community garden.

The HUDDLE: Gun Violence Prevention & Safety! Listen in as Mavs Game Night Emcee and Inclusion Ambassador Chris Arnold hosts a session of the HUDDLE focusing on gun safety and the importance of gun violence awareness with the students at Carter High School. Arnold is joined by special guest leaders, including Dallas ISD Assistant Chief of Police Jerry Cockrell, Executive Director of Gun Sense Nicole Golden, Shop Talk crime prevention liaison Officer Jon Plunkett, and Tiara Cooper, Founder of Rooted in Liberation.
