The Mavs are 12-2 on Seats For Soldiers Night. . .Behind 29 points, 14 rebounds and 15 assists from Luka Doncic, the Mavs went on the road and defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, 131-111, Sunday. It was the second straight triple-double for Doncic, who has three triple-doubles in the Mavs’ first six games. Also in that game against the Cavs, Kristaps Porzingis finished with 18 points, nine rebounds and six blocks. The Mavs got 48 points and 21 rebounds from their bench against the Cavs, including 12 points and eight rebounds in only 15 minutes from Boban Marjanovic. . .Doncic is averaging 26.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg and 9.5 apg, and Porzingis averages 20.5 ppg, 8.2 rpg and 2.7 bpg. . .The Mavs are 1-2 at home this season. . .All-time, the Mavs are 34-27 against the Magic, including a 22-9 record in Dallas.
About the Magic: Orlando is one of five Eastern Conference teams who have played at least six games, but have won only one or two games. . .The Magic comes to Dallas riding a three-game losing streak after opening the season by splitting their first four games. Orlando lost at home last Friday to Milwaukee, 123-91, then narrowly lost at home to Denver on Saturday, 91-87, in a rugged defensive battle that went down to the last minute. . .The Magic opened a two-game road trip with Tuesday’s 102-94 loss in Oklahoma City. Aaron Gordon led Orlando with 15 points and eight rebounds, and four of his teammates scored 13 points apiece.
